The CityYes Political Action Committee (PAC) intends
to move Fishers (IN) from the status of "town" to "city"
through petitions and referendum by special ballot.
There are many good reasons why
Fishers needs to become a city.
The rapid growth of Fishers these past few years
demands greater accountability of local government
to taxpayers. Under a city government system,
voters would have much greater influence.
Right now, all the power in Fishers is vested in
seven people, the Town Council, plus the officials
and committees they control. A lot of people are
not being heard. We believe the people of Fishers
deserve better.
